Description of PPG Deltron Progress D8117 Clearcoat

PPG's Deltron Progress D8117 Satin Clearcoat consists of two versatile 2K acrylic urethane clearcoats to reproduce a range of low gloss levels for the specialist repair of vehicles (or parts of vehicles) originally finished with a low gloss clearcoat over a multi-coloured basecoat system.repair of vehicles (or parts of vehicles) originally finished with a low gloss Clearcoat over a single or multi-coat coloured primer system. To respect normal variations in gloss - which depend on the colour, the model, the location of the repair on the vehicle, etc.., the mixture of the two Clearcoats can be adjusted to match the vehicle being repaired.

Application tip for PPG Clearcoat D8117 satin finish

  • Use in a 3:1 Mixing ratio with High Solid Hardeners D8237 / D8238 / D8239 and dilute to 50% with Thinner D807 / D812 / D869.
  • Spray with a 1.2-1.4 mm Nozzle
  • Application 1 even full coat and allow to dry until the surface is completely and evenly satin + 1 even coat immediately followed by a lighter cross-coat (½ coat)
  • Flash-off between layers 15 to 30 minutes
  • Drying time 30 minutes at 60°C with D8238 or 40 minutes at 60°C with D8239
