DESCRIPTION

Features of Cromax 825R Washprimer surfacer

  • Very good resistance to corrosion and blistering.
  • Non-aggressive, prevents delamination, sanding scratches and surface defects.
  • Good filling power. Used as a reactive surfacer primer.
  • Excellent adhesion to metals, recommended as a primer.
  • Can be overcoated with Cromax 2K primers or Cromax solvent-based finishes.
  • Can be tinted with AM Centari® MasterTints® base colours (up to a maximum of 5% by weight).
  • Can be used to isolate small areas of sanding prior to application of a Cromax® waterborne basecoat.
  • VOC compliant, in accordance with Directive 2004/42/EC

Substrates for application of Cromax 825R primer

  • Bare metal: steel, aluminium and galvanized steel -Original finishes*.
  • Cromax polyester putties.

* Not recommended for repairing thermoplastic acrylic finishes.

Application of Cromax 825R Washprimer Surfacer

  • Mixing ratio: 2:1 with standard Thinner XB383
  • Apply with a gravity-feed spray gun with 1.3 - 1.5 mm nozzle and 3-4 bar pressure in 1 - 2 coats with 15 min between coats.
  • Drying time at 20°C: 1h
  • Drying time at 40°C: 40 min.
  • Drying time at 60°C: 15min
