Fast drying, allowing application in several coats with reduced time between passes, optimising workshop workflows.
3-Easy to apply:
Provides a smooth, even finish, even with difficult-to-apply colours such as metallics or pearlescent shades.
4- Durability and resistance:
This Basecoat tint is highly resistant to scratches, abrasion and severe weather conditions after the final Clearcoat has been applied.
Steps for using the hydro paint tint :
Step 1: Mixing ratio:
Mix using the proportions recommended on the manufacturer's technical data sheet. Optimum viscosity is 20 to 27 seconds and may vary depending on the level of dilution chosen. Remember to shake your mixture well before use on your bodywork surface.
Step 2: Choosing and adjusting the spray gun :
- Nozzle diameter: 1.2-1.4 mm
- HVLP gravity-feed gun with Plastic paint tank designed for water-based products
- Dry film thickness: 10-20 µm
Step 3: Application to your bodywork surface:
Apply one coat to your bodywork then, after it has dried completely, apply a second. Once your two coats have been applied, apply a dry placement veil at an entry pressure of 1.2-1.5 bar (except opaque colours).
Tech'team tip: A placement veil that is too dry causes powdering, which encourages the Clearcoat to peel off.
Step 4: Drying time :
Evaporation time before Clearcoat application is a minimum of 15 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours.
