Properties of the Permasolid SH727 base range from Spies Hecker :

The Permasolid® 275 series is a system of High Solid lacquers for opaque colours that offer a perfect finish. These lacquers can be applied to original or old, through-hardened, solvent-resistant paints in good condition and lightly sanded. They can also be applied to primed or primer-coated surfaces.

To thoroughly clean the entire substrate, we recommend using Permaloid® Thinner 7010 Anti-Silicone or Permaloid® Thinner 7799 Anti-Silicone Cleaner.

Substrates compatible with Spies Hecker® HG727 Body Paint

Permasolid® 275 lacquers can be applied to old or original paintwork in good condition and fully cured, and to surfaces covered with primer or primer-primer.

Preparing and applying a Permasolid® 275 base

Prepare the surface by cleaning with Thinner Permasolid® 7799 or Permaloid® 7010, followed by dry sanding with 400 - 500 grit paper. Add to the base :

• Permasolid® Hardener VHS 3220 fast (for small areas, spot repairs)
• Permasolid® Hardener VHS slow 3230 (for large areas at medium temperatures)
• Permasolid® Extra Slow VHS Hardener 3240 (for large areas at high temperatures)

Thinner the base with :

• Permacron® Thinner 3380

Using a 1.2 - 1.4 mm diameter Nozzle, apply one and a half coats (a veil then a full coat), leaving to set between each coat until you obtain a matt surface.
