Characteristics of De Beer 8-746XX non sanding primer

Carross offers you De Beer's Non sanding grey primer 8-746xx. This primer is packaged in 3-litre cans and has a shelf life of 2 years (normal storage conditions, 10°C to 30°C [50°F to 90°F] and unopened container).

It is a high performance primer designed for fast production applications. As its name suggests, it is a "non-sanding" primer, which means that it does not need to be sanded before the Topcoat is applied. This saves time and reduces the amount of labour required.

Properties of De Beer non-standing primer

  • Adhesion: Provides excellent adhesion to a range of surfaces including bare metal, primed plastics and well-prepared old paint.
  • Fast drying: Formulated for fast drying, increasing workshop efficiency and productivity.
  • Smooth appearance: Provides a smooth finish that facilitates the application of Topcoats.
  • Anti-corrosive: Has anti-corrosive properties, offering extra protection to metal surfaces.

Application of De Beer High Production Primer

  • Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, dry and free from contaminants such as dust, grease and rust.
  • Mixing: Follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing with the appropriate Hardeners and Thinners.
  • Spray: Apply with a Spray gun in uniform coats. Generally, two to three coats are recommended to achieve good coverage.
  • Drying time: Drying time depends on ambient conditions and the thickness of the coat applied, but is generally very fast to maximise productivity.
