What is De Beer washprimer 1-15?
De Beer Refinish washprimer 1-15 is a professional product designed to provide excellent adhesion to bare metal substrates while offering effective anti-corrosion protection. This two-component phosphating primer is specially designed for use in professional automotive repair processes, providing an ideal bonding base prior to the application of a filling primer or paint system.
This phosphoric acid-based primer combines chemical adhesion and anti-corrosion properties, particularly on steel, aluminium, galvanised and other bare metals. Applied thinly and evenly, it effectively prepares even complex surfaces before painting, with no risk of over-coating or loss of shape.
This product must be activated with a special Thinner, making it a perfectly controllable and reliable system, adapted to the quality standards of professional workshops. This product is FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY and holds 1 litre.

Washprimer 1-15 is specially formulated to ensure optimum adhesion to bare steel, aluminium, Galvanized steel and light alloys. It significantly improves the anchorage of subsequent coats, reducing the risk of delamination or imperfections over time.

What are the technical characteristics of Primer 1-15?

How is Primer 1-15 used in car bodywork?

2. Surface preparation :
Clean your surface with an anti-silicone Degreaser 1-951 then wipe dry. If necessary, sand the surface with P180-P240 sanding paper, then remove all sanding residues again using compressed air and vacuum.
3. Application:
We recommend applying 1 coat at 10-20 µm (0.4-0.8 mil).
4. Substrates :
We recommend application on old hardened coatings, steel, Galvanized steel and most types of aluminium.
Tech'team tip: Do not use this product on thermoplastic coatings (TPA).
