What is Cromax Sprayable Putty 799R?
Cromax 799R Sprayable Putty is a beige-grey 2K sprayable finishing putty with peroxide activator. This sprayable bodywork putty is recommended for use on bare steel and Fiberglass-reinforced polyester.

How do I apply Sprayable Putty?
Before starting your bodywork repairs, it's essential to use the appropriate personal protective equipment during application: protective gloves, mask, goggles and bodybuilder's coveralls.
1° Surface Preparation :
Cromax's 799R Putty is quick and easy to apply to the following surfaces:
- Surfaces prepared with 2K polyester products then finely sanded
- Fiberglass-reinforced polyester substrates, free of release agents, sanded and cleaned
- Old paint or original paint correctly sanded and cleaned
- Thoroughly cured 2K primers or primer primers, sanded and cleaned
- Steel, Galvanized steel and soft aluminium, sanded and cleaned, primed with 2K primer
2° Setting up the paint spray gun :
Get yourself a compliant Spray gun then set the diameter of your Nozzle to 2-2.5 mm with a Spray pressure of 2-3 bar.
3° Number of coats:
Apply between 1 and 5 coats to your bodywork surface without any intermediate drying time. The drying time is between 5 and 10 minutes.
4° Drying time :
Cromax Putty 799R dries quickly and easily:
- Drying time at 20°C: 2h
- Drying time at 60-65°C: 30 to 35 minutes
- IR drying time at half power: 10-12 minutes
5° Sanding stage :
Start by roughening with P120-220 grit Abrasive discs, then do the final sanding of your vehicle with P240-360 grit.
