Properties and compatible substrates for application of Spies Hecker 4085 dark grey spray primer
This primer offers good corrosion protection when applied to metal surfaces, and can be used on Blending areas for Spot-repairs. It can be applied to most metal substrates, such as steel, galvanised or electro-galvanised panels, soft aluminium (cleaned and sanded), as well as primers and primers for paintwork.), but also on lightly sanded original primers or on a surface prepared with a Raderal® 2K polyester product (lightly sanded). Easy to use, it has a particularly fine atomisation. It is also available in two shades of grey to meet all your requirements. It is also possible to weld once the product has been applied.
Preparing Spies Hecker 4085 Dark Grey
This Spray primer is ready to use. First of all, make sure the product adheres to your surface by carrying out preliminary tests. Next, clean the surface with Permaloid® anti-silicone Thinner, degrease and lightly sand steel or aluminium surfaces, and remove any traces of rust by lightly sanding old painted surfaces. Finally, clean the surface of all residues and dust with the appropriate product.
Apply the preparation to the surface
Shake the Spray for 2 minutes before use. Spray from a distance of 20-25mm onto the surface, and apply 1 to 3 coats of product. The intermediate drying time is 5 to 10 minutes. The coat is 15-20µm thick and dries in 10-20 minutes. After use, hold the Spray upside down to purge it. It is important to wear personal safety equipment when using the product, and to read the warnings on the product data sheet and label carefully.
Primers that can be overcoated with
Priomat® NEW 4085 Spray Max can be overcoated with Permasolid® 2K acrylic primer. Caution! Do not overcoat with polyester primer or epoxy products. It is not suitable for application to thermoplastic surfaces.
