DESCRIPTION

Properties of Deltron® D820 primer for plastics.

PPG™ D820 primer is an adhesion promoter that can be applied to most plastic parts.

Preparing PPG® Bodywork Primer

D820 plastic adhesion primer is ready to use. There is no need to thin it.

Applying PPG® D820 primer

It is applied in 1 to 2 coats. There is no Flash-off between layers. Allow to dry for 30 minutes before applying the finish.

Substrates compatible with Deltron D820 primer

Deltron D820 primer is suitable for use on most plastic substrates not originally primed or undergoing repair:

  • GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), Fiberglass
  • New plastic parts
  • Plastic parts with minor damage
  • Polyester putty (A652)
  • Pore-filler putty (A655)

Not recommended for use on the following materials:

  • PE (polyethylene)
  • PC (polycarbonate)
  • ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene)
  • PU/PU-RIM (polyurethane/polyurethane RIM)
  • PP (polypropylene)
  • POM (polyoxymethylene)

 

The D820 can be coated with Deltron® and Envirobase® finishes.
