DESCRIPTION

Technical properties of demineralised water 600 from Spies Hecker: description, features and benefits :

What is the purpose of demineralised water 600 from Spies Hecker?

Permahyd demineralised water, available in 5-litre cans, is an essential technical element in the world of professional waterborne paints. Specially formulated and purified to meet the rigorous standards of modern bodyshops. This ultra-pure water plays a fundamental role in mixing, adjusting and spraying the waterborne bases in the Permahyd Hi-TEC 480 range. This product is VOC compliant.

This product is therefore used to dilute the paints in the Permahyd range.

What are the technical characteristics of this quality product?

  • Product reference : Permahyd 6000
  • Type: high-purity demineralised water
  • Product format: available in 5-litre cans
  • Use: additive or diluting agent for Permahyd bases

What are the advantages for body repairers in car workshops?

1. Controlled and constant purity:

Permahyd 6000 water is completely demineralised by reverse osmosis and contains no salts, minerals or impurities likely to interfere with the formulation of aqueous bases. Its conductivity level is extremely low, guaranteeing no electrochemical interference with the pigments and binders contained in the paint.

2. Colour stability and performance :

Used in the right proportions, it maintains the pigment integrity of the bases and guarantees the accuracy of the final colour, including metallic, pearlescent or sensitive colours. This is particularly crucial for spot repairs or splices, where consistency of finish is paramount.

3. Optimised application behaviour:

It contributes to good fluidity and atomisation of the mixture during spray application, limiting misting and promoting even spreading. The result is a more even film, without streaks or overloading.

4. Prevention of cross-contamination :

Unlike mains water, it contains no limescale, chlorine or organic residues, significantly reducing the risk of unwanted chemical reactions.

What's more, this product offers bodybuilders a reliable waterborne paint process and prevents application faults caused by hard or impure water. It also optimises the quality of the final finish (gloss, uniformity, fine grain). It also extends the life of your equipment, as there are no deposits in the nozzles or spray circuits.
