What is R-M Universal Matting Agent 09?
Universal Matting Agent 09 is an Additive specially formulated to reduce the gloss level of Clearcoats. Compatible with several Clearcoats in the R-M range, it can be used to obtain a matt, satin or semi-matt effect, depending on the Mixing ratio and the specific characteristics of the Clearcoat used. It is particularly recommended for repairing or restoring original manufacturer matt finishes, in top-of-the-range bodywork or on special vehicles.
This professional bodywork product reduces the gloss of opaque topcoats. The VOC content of this product is 839 g/l.

How to use special matt 09?
1- Preparation of the Clearcoat :
Mix your product directly into the Clearcoat/Hardener mixture, respecting the required percentage.
2- Gloss control :
Use a Test cardboard to test the desired gloss level. The final effect may also vary slightly depending on the thickness applied, the type of spray gun and the temperature.
3- Apply to your bodywork surface:
Apply like a standard Clearcoat 1.5 to 2 coats then remember to maintain an even thickness to avoid variations in mattness.
4- Drying time :
The drying time is similar to that of the Clearcoat used. The level of mattness will stabilise once your surface is completely dry.
5- Cleaning the car surface :
Matt surfaces require gentle, non-abrasive cleaning to preserve their appearance.
When using this paint product, it is strongly recommended, if not essential, that you wear appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure your safety: gloves, goggles, mask, etc.
