DESCRIPTION

Properties of Standox® VOC Pro Filler bodywork primer

Standox® VOC Pro Filler has good filling and insulating properties. It provides excellent tension and Reliable vertical stability and is easy to sand. This product contains no chromates and complies with Directive 2004/42/EC (VOC).

 

Preparing VOC Pro Filler bodywork primer

VOC Pro Filler must be mixed before use. Depending on the application system chosen, the products and mixing proportions vary:

  • For a VOC system: the primer is mixed with VOC Standox Hardener (vol. 7:1) and 10% VOC Standox Thinner.
  • For a HS system: the primer is mixed with Standox® 2K HS Hardener (vol. 4:1) and, if necessary, with 5-10% Standox VOC Thinner.

Applying VOC Pro Filler primer to the surface

It is applied in 2 to 3 coats and air-dries at 18-22°C overnight or at 60-65°C in 30-40 minutes.

Substrates compatible with this VOC Pro Filler primer

VOC System Filler light grey can be applied to sanded cured paints, except TPA (thermoplastic copolyamide), sanded primers and cataphoresis, sanded polyester products, sanded UP-GF (Unsaturated Polyester and Fiberglass). Bare metal substrates must be coated with Standox® acid primer. It can be overcoated with a Standocryl® VOC Clearcoat or a Standohyd® or Standoblue® base colour.
