Primer Eco Balance A-U-37 DTM Grey Glasurit

The complete Araclass Eco Balance range

The Eco Balance range of primers from Glasurit's revolutionary new Araclass range is a product line developed as part of a sustainable approach aimed at reducing environmental impact while meeting the requirements of the automotive bodywork sector. The range uses renewable raw materials to partially replace materials of fossil origin, designed to reduce the carbon footprint without compromising product performance and quality.

All these primers are distinguished by their Direct To Metal (DTM) property, which means they can be applied directly to metal such as steel, aluminium and Galvanized steel without the need for an additional undercoat. This reduces the number of coats required, optimising workshop preparation time while maintaining excellent corrosion protection and paint adhesion.

The environmentally-friendly range is comprehensive, including primers, base paints, Clearcoats, thinners and hardeners. It provides everything you need to carry out a wide variety of car bodywork jobs.

The Glasurit range is certified as sustainable and environmentally friendly. Designed to meet the needs of companies concerned about their ecological impact, this revolutionary solution offers certified solutions aligned with the most advanced sustainable development processes in the industry.

Characteristics A-U-37 Grey primer

Advantages of A-U-37 primer

A-U-37 grey primer from the Araclass range offers a complete and unique solution on the market for body shops, highly effective and innovative but also sustainable and environmentally friendly. This solution boasts a number of major advantages that make it an essential choice in the automotive industry.

1. Reduced carbon footprint:

Thanks to the use of renewable raw materials in its formulation, A-U-37 primer offers a significant reduction in environmental impact. This eco-responsible approach makes this product a sustainable solution that enables workshops to meet ecological requirements while ensuring high quality surface preparation.

2. Increased eco-efficiency :

A-U-37 primer is designed to offer direct-to-metal (DTM) application, reducing the number of coats required. This optimises the preparation and painting processes, reducing both working time and material consumption. As a result, workshops benefit not only from a product that ensures durability, but also from a solution that increases operational efficiency while reducing costs.

3. Better overall performance:

The product offers exceptional adhesion to metal surfaces, as well as enhanced corrosion resistance, ensuring long-lasting protection. Its fast drying time reduces the waiting time between the different stages of the preparation process, speeding up the whole job. This fast drying is particularly advantageous for modern workshops looking for increased productivity while preserving superior quality finishing.

4. Density:

With its optimised density, A-U-37 primer allows even application and a neat finish, essential for the demands of car bodywork. The product creates the ultimate finish with technicality and reliability, perfectly adapting to the needs of industry professionals.

DTM primer application process

To apply EcoBalance DTM Primer, follow these steps to ensure a significant improvement in adhesion and results while respecting each phase of the process:

1. Prepare the surface :

Lightly sand the surface of the substrate to improve the adhesion of the primer. If imperfections are visible, we recommend applying a special putty to smooth out any irregularities before applying the primer. This ensures that the substrate is perfectly prepared, guaranteeing ultra-precise and effective application.

2. Clean the surface:

Use a suitable Degreaser to remove any dust, oil or contaminants that could affect the quality of the application. Make sure the substrate is clean, dry and free of any residue, to avoid any interference with the surface treatment. This step is crucial to ensure that the primer bonds directly and optimally.

3. Mixing and applying the primer :

Mix the EcoBalance DTM primer correctly with the recommended products, such as Hardener and Thinner, if necessary, following the manufacturer's instructions. Apply the primer in even coats to the prepared surface, taking care to respect the drying times between coats. Applying even coats ensures even coverage and maximum protection, while allowing the product to make the surface resistant to external elements.

4. Finishing the surface :

Once the primer has dried, sand the surface again to a perfectly smooth finish before moving on to the next stages of Paint. This improvement phase ensures that the surface is uniform and ready to receive Topcoats, giving a great, long-lasting end result.
