Description of PPG 2K Transparent Sealer Paint Primer
This PPG transparent adhesion promoter is ideal for fast repainting thanks to its reduced drying time. This product is highly recommended when applying paint wet-on-wet to save time.
The D854 adhesion promoter from the PPG professional brand ensures that the gloss of the various Topcoats is maintained. These include original finishes, all sound aged painted surfaces and non-synthetic primers.
Preparing the substrate for application of D854 Paint Primer
Before application, make sure the surface is treated, cleaned and degreased.
1) When Paint Primer is used as a wet-on-wet insulator :
Original paint or existing paint: sand your surface to restore sound substrate layers using P320-360 Abrasive discs.
2) When D854 Paint Primer is used as an adhesion promoter :
The original or existing paint must be cleaned, including and especially those areas of your surface that are particularly sensitive.
