Properties of Spies Hecker Clearcoat Permasolid High Solid Optimum Plus 8650

Permasolid Varnish 8650 can be used on Permahyd Series 280/285 Clearcoats, Permahyd Hi-TEC Prelacquer Series 480 Clearcoats and Permahyd Fascination Color Effect Tints. Very easy to apply, it ensures an optimum gloss finish. This Clearcoat has excellent gloss properties and dries quickly. It can also be combined with Permasolid Accelerator High Solid 9025 and Permasolid Additive High Solid 9026.

Preparation and application of Spies Hecker Clearcoat Permasolid High Solid 8650

This Clearcoat is combined 3:1 by volume with :

  • Permasolid Hardeners VHS 3220 (fast)
  • Permasolid Hardeners VHS 3225
  • Permasolid Hardeners VHS 3230 (slow)
  • Permasolid Hardeners VHS 3240 (extra-slow)

It can also be mixed (10%) with :

  • Permacron Thinner 3380
  • Permacron Thinner 3385 (slow)
  • High Solid Accelerator 9025

Using a 1.2 - 1.3 mm diameter Nozzle and a pressure of 2.0 - 2.5 bar, apply a veil then a full coat. A layer of 40 - 60µm thickness is recommended. Leave to dry overnight at room temperature, or for 20 - 30 minutes using infrared rays.
