What is PPG D8725 Performance Thinner?
D8725 is a high-quality Thinner developed by PPG to optimise viscosity, surface tension and film tension in solvent-based paint systems. It is mainly used in UHS premium and High Solid Clearcoats and Primers.
D8725 Performance Thinner is available in 1L packs. Its formulation ensures balanced evaporation, adapted to standard climatic conditions, favouring uniform drying and a flawless finish.

Use PPG Additive Thinner D8725:
This reactive Thinner is used for :
- UHigh Solid/High Solid Clearcoats (High Solid Clearcoats)

- Under moderate temperature conditions
Step 1: Selecting the product to be thinned :
- Check that D8725 is the recommended Thinner for the Clearcoat, Primer or base being used.
Step 2: Mixing preparation:
- Follow the precise Mixing ratio by referring to the product data sheet, then mix thoroughly using a mixing stick so that the solution is homogeneous and ready to be sprayed.
Step 3: Apply to your surface:
Using a Spray gun, apply the product in the best possible way with the diluted mixture according to the setting on the gun (nozzle diameter, spray pressure, etc.). D8725 is easy to use, gives an even spray pattern and improves the final finish.
Step 4: Drying time :
Evaporation of the Thinner is controlled, allowing uniform drying without bubbles or defects. Compatible with air drying, infrared drying or spray booth drying at 60°C.
