Presentation, advantages and use of Lechler Autorefinishing rapid 740 and standard 741 thinners
Presentation of the 5L Thinner Autorefinishing 740 and 741 :
Lechler Autorefinishing Thinner is a Universal thinner designed for automotive Touch up products. It is available in different versions adapted to the specific needs of bodywork professionals.
Thinner Autorefinishing Standard 741 :
The universal standard-drying Thinner, recommended for applications where a longer working time is required to ensure an even finish. Suitable for moderate temperatures and larger surfaces.
Thinner Autorefinishing Rapid 740 :
The Universal Fast drying Thinner, ideal for applications requiring a short drying time. It is mainly used in lower temperature conditions or for repairing small areas of bodywork.
What are the advantages of Autorefinishing Thinner?
These Thinners are specifically formulated for use with products in the Lechler range guaranteeing optimum compatibility and high quality results. They adjust the viscosity of paints, Clearcoats and primers, making them easier to apply and improving the uniformity of the finish. The standard Thinner is available in 5L cans for your bodywork surfaces. Quick Thinner is also available in this size.
It is essential to choose the right Thinner to suit the environmental conditions and the specific requirements of the job. For example, a fast drying thinner will be preferable for quick repairs or low temperature conditions, whereas a slow drying thinner will be more suitable for applications requiring extended working time or in high temperature conditions.
How do I use Lechler autorefinishing Thinner?
1. Mixing preparation :
In order to prepare a homogeneous mixture, please refer to the technical data sheet of the complementary product (for example, Green Tech High Solid Primer MF602,MF606 and MF610). It is generally recommended to add approximately 15 to 35% Thinner, and this depends on the desired viscosity.
2. Homogenise the mixture :
To homogenise the mixture before applying it to the surface, use a mixing stick for a few minutes and then pour it into your disposable pouch before attaching it to your Spray gun.
3. Applying the product :
Use a professional Spray gun and adjust the diameter of your Nozzle and the spray pressure according to the result you want and the advice in the technical data sheet. Apply several thin, even coats to your surface, respecting the spraying distance.
4. Drying time :
Thinner 740 dries faster than standard thinner. The drying time should be indicated on the primer data sheet.
