What are the technical characteristics of Autosurfacer?
Autosurfacer is available in light and dark grey and is packaged in 3.5-litre cans on the Carross website. This highly filling two-component primer complies with VOC legislation. It offers fast curing and very fast drying combined with excellent application properties.
This professional product is designed for professional bodywork applications. It is formulated to dry very quickly, both in the open air and in the spray booth. This makes it ideal for standard repairs and Touch up on a variety of substrates such as steel, Galvanized steel, aluminium and existing paint coats.

How do I apply Sikkens Primer?
1° Preparation of the bodywork surface :
Make sure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and an example of contaminants such as grease or dust.
2° Mixing:
Mix autosurfacer rapid with Sikkens autosurfacer rapid Hardener 360739. The mixing ratio is 2:1 by volume. If you wish to make a wet-on-wet application, we recommend adding an appropriate Thinner to adjust the viscosity.
3° Application to the surface :
Using a professional paint gun, apply one to three even coats, allowing 5 to 7 minutes for evaporation between coats at a temperature of 20°C.
4° Drying :
Allow to dry for approximately 45 minutes at 20°C or 20 minutes at 60°C.
5° Sanding :
Once your surface is completely dry, sand with a P500 grit abrasive disc to obtain a smooth surface before applying your Topcoat.
