The Nexa Autocolor Plastic Paint System offers a range of products for the successful painting of all plastic substrates to be painted, from Cleaning and Preparation to Texturing and Topcoat.
Plastics Adhesion Primer P572-2001 is a fast-acting, transparent, one-component primer suitable for use on all plastic substrates to be painted, eliminating the need to identify the substrate before spraying. It is designed for Touch up or car body parts.
How do I prepare the surface before application?
Thorough preparation and cleaning are essential to the successful re-painting of Plastic parts. The Plastic Cleaning and Preparation system is designed to achieve the best possible performance from both primer and Topcoat systems.
Primers are not suitable for use on highly solvent-sensitive substrates such as polystyrene or pure polyethylene.
What is the difference between P572-2000 and P572-2001?
This product is available in 1L cans and is ready to use. It also comes in a Spray version.

How do I use Nexa Autocolor primer P572-2001?
1° Spray gun adjustment :
- Nozzle diameter: 1.3-1.5 mm
- Spray pressure: 2.7 bar (40-50 psi)
- Low pressure: 0.7 bar (10 psi) max at the cap
Tech'team tip: Pressures below 2.0-2.3 bar (30-51 psi) can be used to paint poorly formed Plastic surfaces.
2° Coat application :
We recommend a single application of a double coat at 20°C on your body part.
3° Drying time :
Air drying at 20°C is approximately 10 minutes.
The professional primer is compatible with other Nexa references and needs to be covered with a 2K wet-on-wet primer, followed by a Nexa Autocolor 2K Topcoat. If more thickness is required, choose a filling 2K primer. What's more, the ready-to-use product saves extra time over the total repair time. It's a key product in the Nexa system.
