Characteristics of a multicleaner degreaser
A multicleaner degreaser is used in car bodywork repairs to clean and prepare surfaces prior to the application of primers, paints or Clearcoats. Its main role is to remove contaminants such as oils and greases (residues left by hands or old repairs), Waxes and silicones (present on certain surfaces and which can cause paint defects) and dust/sanding residues (to ensure optimum adhesion of products to the surface). Its role as a cleaner is essential in all types of car repairs.
Using a Percotop multicleaner
1° Preparation
To avoid contact with the skin and respiratory tract, wear personal protective equipment(gloves, mask and goggles) and work in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling vapours.
2° Application
Take a clean cloth and soak it in Degreaser. Apply generously to the surface to be treated and rub lightly to dissolve any contaminants. Then use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the surface and prevent the impurities from redepositing.
Practical advice
- Do not leave the Degreaser to air dry without wiping.
- Do not use a dirty cloth to avoid contaminating the surface
- Do not apply the product directly to the surface: always use a cloth.
