DESCRIPTION

Description of MaxMeyer Clearcoat 0710 matt

MaxMeyer Clearcoat 0710 is a matt clearcoat. Whether used to repair part or all of a vehicle's bodywork, this Clearcoat can be used to reproduce matt levels identical to those used by manufacturers (Mercedes' full matt finish, for example). This versatile Clearcoat can be mixed and matched to achieve the exact variation in gloss required. This variation is calculated according to the colour, model, location of the repair on the vehicle, etc. Note: Clearcoat 0710 can be used on rigid plastics without any special Additive.

Preparing matt Clearcoat: car paint, hardeners and thinners

Clearcoat must be properly prepared. During the marouflage phase, take care to minimise direct contact between the Masking tape and the original matt finish. When Masking tape is to be applied directly to the original finish, remove the paper before steaming to avoid the marking not coming off afterwards on the original car paint. MaxMeyer Clearcoat 0710 and its mixtures must be applied to a layer of paint that has been cleaned and dusted. The paint must be completely dry before applying the Clearcoat. Remember to gently wipe the surface with a suitable soft cloth before applying the matt Clearcoat. It is very important to avoid any dust encrustation, whatever the stage of the process. If any dust remains once you've applied the Clearcoat, rectifying dust encrustations on the matt or satin finish will be very complicated!

HARDENERS (Mixing ratio 2:1) :

  • 4000 Slow Total and panel repairs > 25°C
  • 6000 Fast Total and panel repairs < 25°C

THINNER (Mixing ratio 2:1:1) :

  • 2510 Normal Spot-repairs
  • 2520 Slow Panel repairs below 25°C
  • 2530 Very slow Total and panel repairs > 25°C
