Properties of PPG D8416 1K Primer Spray:

PPG brand D8416 Spray is designed and formulated for sanded down to bare metal areas and Spot-repairs locally. This Spray can be overcoated with all PPG refinish systems.

Application areas for PPG D8416 Spray :

  • Bare steel
  • Galvanized steel
  • Original Paint
  • GRP (Fiberglass reinforced plastic)
  • Polyester putty
  • Old finishes in good condition

Steps for using PPG Spray D8416 :

  1. Shake the Spray vigorously for about 2 minutes to homogenise the product.

  2. Once the product has been mixed, it is ready to use straight away.

  3. It is important to maintain a spraying distance of 15 to 20 cm between the bodywork and the substrate.

  4. Apply two single coats to achieve a film thickness of around 25 microns

  5. We recommend waiting 3 to 5 minutes between coats

  6. Drying time at 20°C: can be covered after 10 to 15 minutes (depending on film thickness)
